Cilaki mini hydro power plant is a run-of-river project which harnesses the natural power of the Cilaki river in the Garut district fostering livelihoods in remote areas through sustainable pathways.

This project provides the Indonesian grid by utilising the power generated from the Cilaki river in the Garut district. The project activity has two turbines with a total capacity of 7.4 MW and generates around 40,000 MWh of clean electricity annually. In addition, Cilaki mini hydro power plant reduces about 30,500 tons of CO2 annually.
Additionally, the project creates 55 new employment opportunities with good working conditions and offers higher wages than the local average salary level. The project also facilitates several local development projects, such as constructing roads, bridges, and mosques.
