The Suoi Chan hydropower is a run-of-river hydropower plant with a pondage scheme envisaging water diversion from Ngoi Nhu into an underground powerhouse and discharging the tail race water back to the river.
The project uses water energy to generate clean renewable electricity. As a result, the project reduces GHG emissions by 53,779 tCO2e per year.
The installed capacity and estimated annual gross power generation is 16 MW and 66,882 MWh, respectively.
